An introduction to the University of Suffolk
Ipswich
Voted the 'University of the Year' in the WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2025, the University of Suffolk is a modern and inclusive institution that puts students first.
The University of Suffolk is a dynamic university, featuring state-of-the-art facilities and offering career-focussed education. Our courses have been designed with employability in mind, offering hands-on projects, strong industry links, and dedicated careers support. We have pioneered 'Block and Blend' learning, where students focus on one or two modules at a time, with assessments at the end of each block. This strong focus on key part of the course creates an intensive learning experience and reduces end-of-semester stress.
The University's main campus is based on the beautiful Ipswich waterfront, with courses also available at the Partner Colleges in Ipswich's Suffolk New College, and East Coast College based in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. Students are also based in a range of national and international partnerships.
The University is proud to be home to a vibrant and dynamic research community with a range of specialist academic expertise, and opportunities for graduates to progress to Masters and PhDs at the University of Suffolk as part of our Alumni Postgraduate Loyalty Scheme.
